New Musical Discoveries - Alela Diane - About Farewell

I love the tonality of this song, So direct and to the point. Still in my folk vein. After listening to this tune you will know why. Such a beautiful song.

New Musical Discoveries - Uncovered QOTSA - I Never Came (feat. Alela Diane)

Oddly enough, this is actially my very favorite Alela Diane song. I say oddly because, Dianne did not compose this song but rather sings this little ditty from on a tribute CD from of France of the veritable heavy metal band Queens of the Stown Age. It has a lyrical moodiness I quite love.

New Musical Discoveries - Alela Diane - Rose & Thorn

I just love Alela's virtual deadpan voice herein. Reminds me a bit of the technique employed by Cherry Ghost's singer on their sterling song "Search For Romance". (Coincidentally, also contained within as New Musical Discoveries 27. Check it out also.) See if you are not thoroughly spellbound.

New Musical Discoveries - Alela Diane - Lost Land

Alela Diane nver fails to captivate with her seemingly simplistic folk songs. This tune is no exception. Watch how it casts its spell and soon you are hooked.

Bleachers - Chinatown - ft. Bruce Springsteen

Remember the days when Bruce Springsteen was really good? The times when he sang songs about cruisin' in cars, growing up in Jersey and long lost love? Well Bleachers does his best to harken back to that era.

Amazing laid back live performance
